Yeah you just have to read this. John Berger is a master at work and he makes it look easy. There are several laugh out loud moments in the book. I genuinely think the first chapter is cubist. Like it has to be. There isn't much written about this book online. I also haven't looked much too. John Berger fits an entire day, Corker's first day of freedom, into this novel and its never once boring or dragging. There's a lot to learn from Berger's style and expertise here.
