Stephen Hardin writes here an accessible history from first hand accounts of the Texas Revolution. While this is outside of my wheelhouse, I quite enjoyed reading this book, especially as a Texan, because basically 95% of this book is something i haven't heard before but I probably should have. I'm sorry Stephen, but the folks at the Alamo deserved it. Santa Anna offered clemency and they rejected it until they started losing. Its too late at that point. Also, Fannin got what he deserved. Santa Anna did nothing wrong.
