This is such an interesting story. Not in the sense of reading it as a modern reader though. It is actually quite boring that way. See the cover in the image. This story was written as a response to the content presented in the cover of this edition, where multi exposures would be taken of people and their phenotypes would be assessed. The idea here is to take multi exposures of criminals and establish a criminal phenotype from which police could be informed and arrest people based on "appearing to be criminal". This has become more relevant now than ever as AI technologies involved in policing are essentially doing these multi exposure "studies" through machine learning on a scale that is truly unprecedented. This edition is incredible and has given me much to think about through its recontextualization of the source material in the modern time.
